Construction Progress
At Spirit Quay Devonport, we are making significant strides toward delivering Tasmania’s next-generation terminal. Our construction is progressing in three key stages.
Stage One: Marine Works
The journey begins with marine works, which are already underway. This stage includes essential pile-driving and berth preparation to ensure Spirit Quay is ready to accommodate the new Spirit of Tasmania vessels. These works lay the foundation for a state-of-the-art terminal capable of supporting both passenger and freight operations.
Stage Two: Civil Works
Our civil works are now well underway, shaping the landside infrastructure, including roadways, parking, and operational areas to optimise traffic flow and enhance the overall passenger experience. Civil works are a vital component in creating a seamless connection between land and sea.
Stage Three: Terminal Building Works
The final stage focuses on constructing the new terminal building. Designed to provide world-class facilities for passengers and freight customers, this terminal will feature modern amenities, streamlined check-in areas, and efficient processing systems to ensure a smooth journey.
